Abraham stepped forward and said, “Will You really sweep away the righteous with the wicked? What if there are fifty righteous ones in the city? Will You really sweep it away and not spare the place for the sake of the fifty righteous ones who are there? Far be it from You to do such a thing—to kill the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous and the wicked are treated alike. Far be it from You! Will not the Judge of all the earth do what is right?”- Genesis 18:23-25 BSB

Warrior;

Abraham bargained with God.  What a powerful statement, what an incredible set of events. This is our God, our Creator, our Sustainer, our Savior, our Provider, our LORD, our Father, our Abba…Daddy, Papa! The God of the universe, the Creator of ALL THINGS, the ONE who spoke life into existence,- negotiating with a mere mortal.  A Creature lower than His ‘Sons of God’, a creature that He created from DIRT! Yet, this mere mortal – Abraham, and All His creation- for that matter- Has His heart!  The question asked by the Psalmist is important.  Hear the Word of the Lord, “What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet.” (psalm 8:4-6) For God so loved MANKIND that He gave His ONE UNIQUE SON over TO BE brutally condemned and killed- AS IF HE BECAME SIN! For God so loves MANKIND that He IMAGO DEI, made us in the “image of God”. With Abba Daddy- Papa’s characteristics, attributes and qualities. We must always remember WE ARE GODS’ SPECIAL CREATION. Now let us focus on something else that today’s verse suggests. Today’s verses, and the surrounding interactions, also tells us about Yahweh’s willingness to let man participate in His work, and even more specifically about the Power of ONE. One Person who is WILLING and AVAILABLE, can make all the difference in another person’s life, in a family, in a community, in a city, or in a country- it just might change HIS STORY!

Leader, today’s story is about 2 people: Abraham and Lot.  2 people, like any 2 other people.  Abraham and Lot have FRUIT that creates SEEDS.  You can ‘follow the FRUIT to the ROOT’; it is a saying that shows a person’s actions can impact others around them.  By living out our FAITH, others can SEE, HEAR and FEEL- experience our FAITH in action, and from that have an EXAMPLE, a PICTURE of what GOD IN US looks like, sounds like, and may be experienced as. Because of those OBSERVATIONS, others might want to be LIKE THEM, start changing their own personal actions, and possibly reach out to find out about that person’s SECRET- which could lead to a conversation about their GOD! That’s a powerful message, and it carries an important truth—one person’s choices can ripple outward and transform lives. Our enemies: the devil and the world (system), do not want you to understand your value to our LORD.  If we understand our value, then we might STEP OUT and ACT BOLDY for the Kingdom of God and our Commander, Jesus! The Bible is full of stories that remind us: In the Hands of the Lord Most High you can change or save a life, a family, a city, a country. It is written; Finally, Abraham said, “May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak once more. Suppose ten are found there?” And He answered, “On account of the ten, I will not destroy it.” (Genesis 18:32) The question to ponder is why would Abraham stop at 10?  Abraham starts at 50 and goes all the way down to 10.  He must have felt that Lot had to have some friends, some converts, some people that he is leading and mentoring. Lot had to be influencing others toward the God of Abraham.  The Abraham that had helped him become wealthy, and the Abraham that saved him from captivity, and the Abraham that gave him the choicest of his land.  Lot must have led many to Abrahams God. 10 were NOT found, and Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed! (Genesis 19)

Conduit, with God as your SOUCE, your REASON WHY, you can do GREAT things!  Scripture wants us to remember; I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13) Never doubt that your life has the power to make a difference. Lot’s story teaches us that one person’s faithfulness can influence many. Had he lived more righteously, perhaps nine others would have followed his example, and Sodom might still exist today. Your life, your choices, and your walk with God matter. Be the one who leads, inspires, and uplifts. You never know how far your influence will reach. History and Scripture remind us that God doesn’t need a multitude to bring change—He only needs one person fully surrendered to Him. One person standing firm in faith can influence their family, their community, and even an entire nation. Today we’ve read about Abraham pleading for Sodom. What if Lot had been a stronger spiritual leader? What if his life had inspired nine others toward God? This story challenges us to recognize the weight of our influence. There are many Biblical examples of One Person Who Changed Nations. Joseph: Betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, imprisoned unfairly—yet Joseph remained faithful. God used him to preserve Egypt and his own people from famine (Genesis 41). Esther: A young Jewish woman in a foreign land, yet she chose to risk her life to save her people. Esther 4:14; For who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a times as this?”  How about Daniel: Taken into captivity, castrated, controlled and trained by the Babylonians, yet Daniel refused to defile himself with Babylonian customs. His devotion to God influenced four different kings, shaping an empire’s recognition of the one true God (Daniel 6). Each of these individuals made decisions that changed their generation because they chose faithfulness over fear. What about you? Are you ready to be an ARROW IN THE QUIVER OF YAHWEH? The TIME IS NOW, trust in the LORD and LEAD others to do the same!
