The LORD spoke to Manasseh and to his people, but they paid no attention. Therefore, the LORD brought upon them the commanders of the army of the king of Assyria, who captured Manasseh with hooks and bound him with chains of bronze and brought him to Babylon. And when he was in distress, he entreated the favor of the LORD his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. He prayed to him, and God was moved by his entreaty and heard his plea and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD was God. – 2 Chronicles 33:10-13 ESV
Warrior;
Hear the Word of the Lord: Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem. And he did what was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to the abominations of the nations whom the LORD drove out before the people of Israel. For he rebuilt the high places that his father Hezekiah had broken down, and he erected altars to the Baals, and made Asheroth, and worshiped all the host of heaven and served them. Manasseh had a good Father, King Hezekiah. Hezekiah was considered one of the GOOD KINGS, He brought back revival to Israel. According to 2 Kings 18; Hezekiah trusted in the LORD, the God of Israel. There was no one like him among all the kings of Judah, either before him or after him. He held fast to the LORD and did not cease to follow him; he kept the commands the LORD had given Moses. And the LORD was with him; he was successful in whatever he undertook. Manasseh had a Godly Father! Our salvation is not about our parents, our church, or our lineage; Our Salvation is about choices! We can have good parents, we can have a good opportunity, we can live in a good, or great country. However, our choices create consequences, and those consequences create opportunities. WE have opportunities to get CLOSER TO GOD, or closer to the gods of this world! Manasseh worshipped the gods of the Canaanites: Baal, Asherah and Molech. He kicked out YAHWEH, the God of the Bible, and welcomed in the gods of the world. As the Bible said he WORSHIPPED ALL THE HOST OF HEAVEN, not THE HOST OF HEAVEN! This is the same course America is now on.
Leader, in the greatest sermon ever preached, by the greatest Rabbi to ever walk on the earth we are told in no uncertain terms, “We must choose WHICH GOD WILL WE SERVE!! It is written, “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon”. (Matthew 6:24) Manasseh was pulled in many directions. He had power, he had access to the desires of the flesh, and he had access to many Spirits, just like in America today. Here is a man with power, with a good family and with many influences. He chose to listen to the dark spirits, elohim, and allowed those fallen angels to take over from the ONE TRUE GOD, ELOHIM! Just like today’s post-modern America, Manasseh was very spiritual, however, he was following after the wrong spirits, the wrong gods. According to the account in the Ascension of Isaiah, Isaiah prophesies that King Hezekiah’s wicked son, Manasseh, will torture and kill him and renounce the commands and precepts that Hezekiah had previously delivered. After Hezekiah’s death, King Manasseh devotes himself to serving Satan, and Isaiah flees to the mountains of Bethlehem along with Ananias, Joel, Habakkuk, and other faithful servants of God. Belchira, a kind of middleman between Satan and the ungodly lovers of the world, accuses Isaiah of stirring up trouble against Manasseh. Belchira, motivated by Satan, hates Isaiah because of his significant prophecies of salvation through the coming Messiah. Manasseh has Isaiah arrested and then cut in half with a wooden saw.
Conduit, if Manasseh with all his wicked actions is not too far gone for Yahweh to save, then neither is anybody else. Manasseh did many things that were evil because his gods were evil! BUT GOD didn’t give up on him. Manasseh finally REPENTED and CONFESSED and came back to THE GOD OF HIS FATHER, and again exiled the gods of this world; Baal, Asherah and Molech. Yahweh gives us free will, and Abba Father allows us the consequence of our sins- He does not remove the consequences, but He walks with us in those consequences. People wonder why bad things happen to good people, yet it was Jesus who said, “NO ONE is GOOD, only God is good!” If you are a child of God, ABBA will allow you to experience the pain of your choices, so that you will come back to His loving arms. It is called behavior modification. Paul told us this in 1 Corinthians. There was sexual sin in the church. Paul didn’t accept it; Paul didn’t change God’s values to fit into the world- PAUL JUDGED. It is written: It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that is not tolerated even among pagans, for a man has his father’s wife. And you are arrogant! Ought you not rather to mourn? Let him who has done this be removed from among you. For though absent in body, I am present in spirit; and as if present, I have already pronounced judgment on the one who did such a thing. When you are assembled in the name of the Lord Jesus and my spirit is present, with the power of our Lord Jesus, you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord. (1 Corinthians 5:1-5) It is time to speak the WORD BOLDLY! It is NOT TIME to lower the standards of God’s Word! It is DECISION TIME, it is TIME for a JOSHUA moment: But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” (Joshua 24:15)
