So the Israelites did evil in the sight of the LORD; they forgot the LORD their God and served the Baals and the Asherahs. Warrior;

God sits above time. God is omniscient, he has FOREKNOWLEDGE, He is Prescient, He is Omniscient. God has perfect knowledge. There are many things about God that we will never understand. How do we put the Pacific Ocean into a 20 oz. Dasani Water bottle? How do we put the eternal, infinite knowledge of God into a finite space called the human brain? This is what God told the prophet Isaiah. It is written: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9) We must always remember God is our Father! We just celebrated Mother’s Day and recognized women who have birthed and poured into their children. This is our God, He is our ultimate parent, playing both roles of Mother and Father.

Leader, hear the Word of the Lord: [looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work]. (Hebrews 12:2 AMP) God is the one who nurtures and grows us into His image, like a good Mother and He is our protector and instructor, like a good Father. When Moses was picked as a “forerunner” of Jesus, God established His paternity with His people. It is written: The LORD instructed Moses, “When you go back to Egypt, see that you perform before Pharaoh all the wonders that I have put within your power. But I will harden his heart so that he will not let the people go. Then tell Pharaoh that this is what the LORD says: ‘Israel is My firstborn son, and I told you to let My son go so that he may worship Me. But since you have refused to let him go, behold, I will kill your firstborn son!’” (Exodus 4:21-23) Just like any good Mother, or Father, Yahweh wants to protect His children, and teach them what they need to know to be safe, productive, and live a good life.

Conduit, The LORD calls Israel his firstborn son. The expression reveals the familial nature of the relationship between God’s people and the LORD. Israel is His firstborn son and we gentiles have been ingrafted, adopted into the family. Firstborns had special rights. They were the most favored of all the sons. There is a strong implication of ownership. The LORD wants his son Israel released so he may serve him. Sons and servants work for their father and master. When God’s people serve him, they also worship him. Moses’ command ends with a dire warning. If Pharaoh refuses to let the LORD’s firstborn Israel go, then the LORD will kill Pharaoh’s firstborn. Paul in His letter to the Church in Galatia made it clear, “If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” (Galatians 3:29) All the promises that God made to Abraham are fulfilled by Jesus and given to us gentiles. Our Father, Abba warned the Israelites of the consequences of their actions in the book of Deuteronomy. It was FORETOLD by Abba in the 7^thChapter of the book of the second law: When the LORD your God hands these nations over to you and you conquer them, you must completely destroy them. Make no treaties with them and show them no mercy. You must not intermarry with them. Do not let your daughters and sons marry their sons and daughters, for they will lead your children away from me to worship other gods. Then the anger of the LORD will burn against you, and he will quickly destroy you. This is what you must do. You must break down their pagan altars and shatter their sacred pillars. Cut down their Asherah poles and burn their idols. For you are a holy people, who belong to the LORD your God. Of all the people on earth, the LORD your God has chosen you to be his own special treasure. (Dt 7:2-6) GOD KNOWS that if People of the world, and people of God intermingled, because of the intercourse between the peoples– that God’s people would become like the earth dwellers and create havoc on this planet. God’s warnings are because He knows the future, and the capacity of His creature, Man. The Bible is: Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. It is important to know what Daddy says to His children to keep them safe. Read your Bible, study your Bible, ruminate on your Bible- it is God’s daily instruction to live your life in a way that is pleasing to Abba Father.
