Way of The Warrior- A Daily Devotional

You make mankind like the fish of the sea, like crawling things that have no ruler. He brings all of them up with a hook; he drags them out with his net; he gathers them in his dragnet; so he rejoices and is glad. Therefore he sacrifices to his net and makes offerings to his dragnet; for by them he lives in luxury, and his food is rich. – Habakkuk 1:14-16 ESV

Warrior;

In order to have a Holy relationship, a RIGHTEOUS relationship with the God of the universe we must decide to only worship HIM and have NO OTHER GODS BEFORE HIM. “I am the LORD your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery. “You must not have any other god but me. “You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected—even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me. But I lavish unfailing love for a thousand generations on those who love me and obey my commands”. (Exodus 20:2-6).  It is the FIRST commandment of the 10, and it all starts with this ONE, THE ONE!

Leader, we tend to find peace and gratification in people, in circumstances and in temporal securities called; 401k, good job, good marriage, nice bank account, a beautiful and healthy family….In our world, just like in the days of Habakkuk we seem willing to thank everything and everybody but God. We get so self-absorbed in doing, and in other things that God has slowed us down and removed distractions to see if we will again, return to the ONE TRUE GOD: Yahweh, Jehovah, Adonai, El Shaddai, El Elyon. We all have a God, or gods-even the most ardent Atheists and agnostics, they all worship someone or something. Anything in your heart and mind elevated above God is your god\gods. In Exodus, when we first get the 10 commandments God is stating unequivocally on the tablets of stone and the tablets of our hearts; we shall have nothing that shall be elevated above Yeshua, in our thinking, allegiance and imagination. Jesus has only one place, that HE WILL ACCEPT and that is FIRST LOVE! Idolatry is the worship of a physical object as a god. Idolatry occurs when you look down at the fruit of your own labor, the statue that you carved yourself, and you worship it. It is the nature of idolatry- All Gods demand a sacrifice! Even those who say, “I will not have some God rule over me”, have some god ruling over them-possibly the god of SELF.

Conduit, Julian Huxley stated, “The reason we accepted Darwinism without a lot of proof is because we did not want God to interfere with our sexual morays”. Three points about God: 1- Every person has a God. What do you DESIRE the most, FEAR the most, THINK about the most, FOCUS on the most- your God. 2- Every God demands allegiance! Ever God comes to take over; “I will CONTROL, I will DOMINATE”! 3- Every DOMINATION means SLAVERY. We are all slaves to something or someone. Today is the day to decide; Whom\what will you be a slave to? Pride is the usual culprit of keeping us from having the GOD of the BIBLE as our GOD. Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 tell us of the original sin; Lucifer in the Holies. …”I will be like the MOST HIGH”. Many people infer the same thing by the way they live their lives, “I want to be God”. If you think about it, all of our strength is derived and conferred from God. Many use their God-given strength, ability, talents, trauma, toys and things to stand in opposition to God. During crumbling of America, and the church, Abba is giving us a TIME OUT. A time to consider, to examine our lives and whom\what is our comforter, our focus, our God. It is NOT government’s job to take care of us. It is God’s job to take care of His children, it is our job to take care of others, our brothers and sisters. The plandemic, and the ensuing crumbling of America, can be used by God to allow us time to repent; Change our minds, to turn away from other idols and turn back to the God of the Bible, the God of our ancestors, the God of the universe. I pray that we AS A WORLD, heed this slow down to seek and to serve Yahweh! Shelter in Place, LIKE IT MATTERS- the TIME IS NOW to TURN back to our God, remember our FIRST LOVE! Let go of the GOD OF GOVERNMENT and grab ahold of the GOD OF THE BIBLE!
