Way of The Warrior- A Daily Devotional

Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, but those who keep the law strive against them. Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the LORD understand it completely. – Proverbs 28:4-5 ESV

Warrior;

Division. There is division in God’s view of Justice. True justice only comes from God. Man’s justice, like everything else man does, is flawed! We are told in Romans 3:23 that ALL fall short of the glory of God. We are told that ALL are sinners in need of a SAVIOR. We are told that NO ONE IS GOOD, NO NOT ONE! “Why ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. But to answer your question—if you want to receive eternal life, keep the commandments.” (Matthew 19:17) So how can an UNJUST man provide GOD’S JUSTICE? This was one of the crying prophets greatest complaints from God. Hear the Word of the Lord: “An astonishing and horrible thing Has been committed in the land: The prophets prophesy falsely, And the priests rule by their own power; And My people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end? (Jeremiah 5:30-31) There is a battle waging. It is not just man against God, it is also God’s people against the World System and thus, Children of this world. It has been waging since Genesis 3. Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of us in knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand and take also of the tree of life and eat, and live forever—” therefore the LORD God sent him out from the garden of Eden to work the ground from which he was taken. He drove out the man, and at the east of the garden of Eden he placed the cherubim and a flaming sword that turned every way to guard the way to the tree of life. (Genesis 3:21-24)

Leader, It is written: And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the Lord. And the Lord said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger. (Genesis 25:22-23) As noted in the very first book of the Bible, Genesis, even as children were born unto Adam and Eve, there were two kinds of people living in the world. Throughout the Bible, HIS STORY, A constant line of saved and unsaved people has continued down through the centuries. God separates people into 2 camps: Saved and unsaved, Children of God and Children of the World, Reconciled and at-war with God- Wicked and Righteous! This is not about Good or Bad. As the poet Ella Wheeler Wilcox wrote: “There are two kinds of people on earth today, two kinds of people no more I say. Not the good or the bad, for its well understood, the good are half bad, the bad are half good”. There will be good people in Hell and bad people in heaven. Because heaven is not for good people, it is for redeemed people. You can’t be good enough for heaven or bad enough for hell- You are either forgiven by the blood of Jesus Christ, or you are at war with God- KEEP IT SIMPLE SOLDIER!

Conduit, God has a PREFERRED WILL and a PERMISSIVE WILL. It is written: The Lord does not delay [as though He were unable to act] and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is [extraordinarily] patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9) Beware not to fall into the trap of false prophets and interpret “not willing that any should perish” as “does not allow any to perish”. This results in the false doctrine of universalism. God can “not desire” anyone to perish and still only elect some to salvation. There is nothing incongruous about that. God did not desire for sin to enter the world through the fall of Adam and Eve, yet He allowed it. In fact, it was part of His sovereign plan. God did not desire His only begotten Son to be betrayed, brutally tortured, and murdered, yet He allowed it. This, too, was part of God’s sovereign plan. Look at HIS STORY, even in the SECOND, 1^st family- in the days of Noah and his family. It seems most of the time God has only a small remnant of those who believe in him and are willing to follow his truth. This division of these two lines running parallel to each other is also seen with hostility toward the saved by the unsaved. In every age and in every nation the unsaved are hostile, or opposed to those who are righteous. In the beginning this opposition was brother against brother, as in the sons of Adam. It is said that Cain was of the Wicked One and after murdering his brother Abel, he went into the land of Nod, and there he developed a generation of people who were like him – despiteful of the things of God. Look at the FIRST CHILDREN Cain and Abel. We have to assume Cain knew about God just as Abel had, and later his brother Seth knew about God. Cain also knew that God only accepted a blood offering for sin, but he rebelled against this in his heart because he was proud and wanted to live as he pleased. Pride is a primary reason for man’s rebellion still today. IT IS TIME TO CHANGE COURSE, it is time to CHANGE TEAMS if you are NOT on Jehovah’s team! Humble yourself before the LORD, tell Him you are tired of being on the WORLD’S team and you are ready for RIGHTEOUSNESS and to be on HIS TEAM! You are either humbly on God’s Team, or you are on the World’s team. Here is all you must do to get on God’s team: If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. (Romans 10:9-10) Once you do that, then you ASK and ALLOW God to change your heart, your desires, and your will- from the INSIDE OUT! Remember, this is a battle, there are no sidelines. If you are ON GOD’S TEAM then you are called to FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT! Soldier on!
