Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. What if the REASON for the SEASON is PEOPLE? We have been told that Jesus is the reason for the season, but JESUS was INCARNATED from the womb of Mary, TO SAVE HIS PEOPLE! Jesus always, WAS, from the BEGINNING-! We celebrate His incarnation, becoming flesh- not HIS creation! John 1:1-2 tells us, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning! Gen 1:1 tells us In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The Hebrew word for GOD used here is ELOHIM, which is plural!
Leader, In the Hebrew our LORD’s name is YESHUA, in Greek it is Jesus. His name means SALVATION. It is a play on words; WE were given PRESCIENT information from the Angel of the LORD! We are to call HIM SALVATION because HE IS SALVATION for ALL PEOPLE who call on HIS NAME! He is the GREAT, I AM! I AM SALVATION! This is the GIFT OF GOD, that we celebrate on Christmas! John 3:16 tells us; “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Yeshua= Salvation= I AM SALVATION!
Conduit, Jesus, in response to the Pharisees’ question “Who do you think you are?” said, “‘Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad.’ ‘You are not yet fifty years old,’ the Jews said to him, ‘and you have seen Abraham!’ ‘I tell you the truth,’ Jesus answered, ‘before Abraham was born, I am!’ At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds” (John 8:56–59). The violent response of the Jews to Jesus’ “I AM” statement indicates they clearly understood what He was declaring—that He was the eternal God incarnate. Jesus was equating Himself with the “I AM” title God gave Himself in Exodus 3:14. Jesus came to save PEOPLE, so the reason for the season is HIS PEOPLE! If you LOVE HIM, LOVE HIS PEOPLE! God’s economy= Gods people, using Gods resources, for God’s people, for God’s glory! Remember, It is better to GIVE than to receive!
