As you look back at the first half of this year- How big is the list that is titled, “So far this year, By Faith- I stepped out and did…? How big of a list would that be as you look back? As you set goals for the REST OF THE YEAR, how big is your list: BY FAITH? God has given all Christians varying measures of faith- see 1 Cor 12:9, Romans 12:3-8. This is the faith with which we receive and use our varying gifts. It is the ordinary daily faith by which we live and minister. TODAY IS THE DAY, may you have GREAT FAITH and move closer to GOD and AVAIL and COMMIT to HIS WILL for your life! Are you willing to be GOD’s hands, feet, bank and supply chain? God’s economy is God’s people, using GOD’s resources, for God’s people, for GODS GLORY!
Leader, in the book, “Mere Christianity”, C.S. Lewis says: “Hope is one of the Theological virtues. This means that a continual looking forward to the eternal world is not (as some modern people think) a form of escapism or wishful thinking, but one of the things a Christian is meant to do. It does not mean that we are to leave the present world as it is. If you read history you will find that the Christians who did most for the present world were just those who thought most of the next.” Who are you helping that is doing God’s work, to whom are you SUPPLYING ALL THEIR NEEDS- when they have little resources?
Conduit, “The Apostles themselves, who set on foot the conversion of the Roman Empire, the great men and women who built up the Middle Ages, the English Evangelicals who abolished the Slave Trade, all left their mark on Earth, precisely because their minds were occupied with Heaven. It is since Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this. Aim at Heaven and you will get earth “thrown in”: aim at earth and you will get neither.” Friend, I PRAY your focus for the remainder of the year WILL be, the WILL and KINGDOM of God our Father! May our LORD keep you FOCUSED on living life LIKE IT MATTERS and bring you closer to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God. Deo Volente! FINISH STRONG SOLDIER!
