The declaration of independence says, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” We don’t get our freedom from government or from Man, but we get it from God! Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.(2 Corinthians 3:17) This is the ultimate Freedom! Galatians 5:13; For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. The question to ask ourselves today is FREE from what\whom and FREE TO DO what?
Leader, in Christ we are free to live the life that God planned for us. He is the ONE who freeed us to walk through the good works that He has PREPARED FOR US. Jesus Himself told us who He was in John 14:6, HE is the LIFE, the WAY, and the TRUTH. He also told us what He freed us from in the 8th chapter of John: 34-36 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin. A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son is part of the family forever. So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free”.
Conduit, we have been given the ultimate freedom through JESUS; Let it be known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, and by him everyone who believes is freed from everything from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.(Acts 13:38-39) We must also remember that God believes in a Return On Invesrmemt (ROI). To he who much is given, much more is required. The GOOD NEWS is that God’s reward is greater than anything the world can offer. You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalm 16:11) Now that is something to celebrate today, tomorrow and for ETERNITY!
