Psalm 37 is kind of like the “Life ain’t no fair- but GOD is GOOD” psalm. We can all get wrapped up in Jealousy and Envy.- the ORIGINAL SIN of creation! Today its called: PRIVILEGE! The focus of the world is to pit Man against Woman, Black against White, Republican against Democrat, those that ‘HAVE’ against those that ‘HAVE NOT’. This is NO NEW struggle, but today we have a DEVIL in the VOICE of the WORLD, the MEDIA- that is feeding this EVIL NARRATIVE. We struggle to wonder why others are being “blessed” and we struggle. BEHIND ME SATAN! (Matthew 16:23) The world is making you a murderer with your HATRED! See 1 John 3:15.
Leader, we are told to FRET NOT, for it TENDS to evil! Hebrews 12:14-15 is clear; Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no “root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled. Meek is NOT WEAK- MEEK is power under control! We must keep our POWDER DRY and WALK IN THE POWER and PEACE of our LORD. Jesus never went to a SLAVERY RALLY, even though the early church was composed mainly of the downtrodden and the slave. Jesus was about HIS FATHERS business- NOT the WORLDS rallies! He is called the PRINCE of PEACE, versus the Prince of this world, who is the evil one! See Matthew 5:21.
Conduit, Charles Spurgeon in the Treasury of David states,” Above all others they shall enjoy life. Even if they suffer, their consolations shall overtop their tribulations. By inheriting the land is meant obtaining covenant privileges and the salvation of God. Such as are truly humble shall take their lot with the rest of the heirs of grace, to whom all good things come by a sacred birthright. “And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.” Peace they love and peace they shall have. If they find not abundance of gold, abundance of peace will serve their turn far better. Others find joy in strife, and thence arises their misery in due time, but peace leads on to peace, and the more a man loves it the more shall it come to him.” Read ALL of Psalm 37 and be like DAVID- content with your God and with HIS PROVISION and quit CONDEMNING everybody else’s hate, while CONDONING your OWN! Seek the PEACE of the LORD!
