Elisha asked his servant Gehazi a profound question that we must ask ourselves today, IS THIS THE TIME? If you are a child of God, then you need to learn how to tell TIME. In Greek two words are translated as Time in English: Chronos and Kairos. Chronos is the time on your watch, the time of day. Kairos is THE TIME, we are in. It is a period, a dispensation, a moment of purposive striving. Kairos (Ancient Greek: καιρός) is an Ancient Greek word meaning the right, critical, or opportune moment. While chronos is quantitative, kairos has a qualitative, permanent nature. As a child of God, we need to know, WHAT TIME IS IT? WE are in a TIME called, the TIMES OF THE GENTILES. Reading through Romans 11 you will understand more about the TIMES OF THE GENTILES.

Did God’s people stumble and fall beyond recovery? Of course not! They were disobedient, so God made salvation available to the Gentiles. But he wanted his own people to become jealous and claim it for themselves. Now if the Gentiles were enriched because the people of Israel turned down God’s offer of salvation, think how much greater a blessing the world will share when they finally accept it. (Romans 11:11-12) When the Jewish people rejected Christ, they were temporarily cut off from the blessings of a relationship with God. As a result, the gospel was given to the Gentiles, and they gladly received it. This partial hardening of heart for Israel doesn’t preclude individual Jews from being saved, but it prevents the nation from accepting Christ as Messiah until His plans are finished. When the time is right, God will restore the entire nation, and they will come to faith in Him once again, ending “the times of the Gentiles” (Isaiah 17:7; 62:11–12; Romans 11:26). There is a movement called REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY, that believes that the Jews are no longer God’s chosen, that the church has replaced them. This is not true, nor Biblically accurate. If God broke His promises to the Jews, then our faith has no foundation. If God is a breaker of promises, then our Faith is based on a lie! God IS HIS WORD! He will bring the Jews back into the fold, after the TIMES OF THE GENTILES are completed, for then it will be the TIME of JACOB’S TROUBLE- The Great Tribulation!
Conduit, we need to be getting ready, for as the Rod Steward sang, “People get ready, there is a train a comin’”! If we are to be ready, then we need to KNOW THE TIME! The book of Ecclesiastes in the third chapter speaks of KAIROS: To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to break down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to cast away stones and a time to gather stones together, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to count as lost, a time to keep and a time to discard, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8) The times of the Gentiles, the time of MERCY and GRACE is coming to a close and their will be GREAT TRIBULATION. IS THIS THE TIME, fo you to be IN THE WORLD, or in THE WORD? This is not the time to move away from God and become like the world, the TIMES IS NOW to get your SPIRITUAL HOUSE in order! We no longer have tome to act, think, vote, or work like the world. This is the time to get IN THE WORD, to get ON YOUR KNEES, to humble yourself before the LORD! The book of Proverbs is called, THE BOOK OF WISDOM. The time is NOW: Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6) We are running out of time, and all children of God are on a RESCUE MISSION. How can you save others if you have not been saved yourself?
