Way of The Warrior- A Daily Devotional

Servants, be subject to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the unjust. – 1 Peter 2:18 ESV

Warrior.
If the Bible is NOT your foundational document in your life, then you MIGHT NOT BE A CHILD OF GOD! I am wanting to leave room for the anomaly, for extenuating circumstances, but if you do not believe the Bible is the Word of God, then it is safe to say that your name is NOT written in the Lamb’s Book of Life! Jeff Foxworthy was famous for a line of humor that always ended with, ‘then you might be a REDNECK’. A Redneck is a derogatory slang term to refer to poor white Southern farmers in the United States (according to Wikipedia). “Redneck” is also similar in meaning to “hillbilly” and “cracker”. “If you’ve ever made change in the offering plate, you might be a redneck.” There is also a saying, “If it walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck, then it must be a duck”! Lastly, it has been posed as a question to believers who are examining themselves, and wanting to confirm they are a true follower of Jesus Christ the following probing question, “If it was illegal to be a Christian would there be enough information to convict you”? Jesus Himself posed these questions, “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? If you love me, you will keep my commandments”. (Luke 6:46, John 14:15)

Leader, it is time to decide; are you a CHILD OF GOD, or a CHILD OF THE WORLD? If you read the Bible you will learn 2 things: 1- Life is NOT fair. 2- Life is Hard. I will give you 2 Bible verses to prove this is Biblical. He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief. Like one from whom men hide their faces, He was despised, and we esteemed Him not. He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so He did not open His mouth. By oppression and judgment He was taken away, and who can recount His descendants? For He was cut off from the land of the living; He was stricken for the transgression of My people. (Isaiah 53:3,7-8) Who is the HE, that Isaiah is prophesying about- God incarnate, yes, this is what we did to GOD HIMSELF! And the second verse; Matthew 7:13-14 (NLT) “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it. Those 2 verses show both that LIFE AINT NO FAIR, and LIFE IS HARD! What can one man do to another, or what can one group of people do to another that is worse than what we did to GOD HIMSELF, and what was Jesus’ command? Luke 23:34: Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots. When Jesus was crucified, he uttered these words about those who begged for his crucifixion, who mocked Him, spit in His face, hung Him naked on a cross to humiliate and shame him as He was BLED OUT on the cross. What can a man do to another that is worse?

Conduit, the greatest PRIVILEGE is to be called a SON/DAUGHTER OF THE RISEN KING! We did nothing to earn it- it is by GRACE alone, through FAITH alone, in CHRIST alone, to the GLORY OF GOD, alone! Romans 5:8 puts it succinctly. But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us! God gave His Son to die for us as the payment for our sins – and to break the power of the old sin nature within our hearts, even before we were born – before we ever trusted Christ as Savior. Christ died for sinners. What is going on in our streets with the “Black Lives Matter” movement is of the devil! What is now being forced down our children’s throats by the Biden administration- Critical Race Theory, is of the devil. Teaching that all the descendants of Ham are victims. CRT teaches that white people are bad (oppressors) and all people of color are good (oppressed). This “theory” is hateful, racist, and is dividing our country, our church and making RACISM institutionalized in America. This experience in the flesh is a sanctifying process to make us into the image of CHRIST. Let me show you how important this message is to Christ and is in His WORD. Ephesians 6:5-7; Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; …Colossians 3:22-25; Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as men pleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God: …1 Timothy 6:1-3; Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed… God is a JUST God. There is no REAL JUSTICE on this planet. Justice comes on the other side of eternity. We are to leave room for God’s vengeance, we are called to FORGIVE, we are called to pray for those who persecute us. It is the BAIT OF SATAN, to keep a record of wrong, a POUND OF FLESH. Satan is the accuser of the brethren; Be careful that this world does not have you doing the BIDDING OF THE DEVIL! God tells us He will let us decide how He treats us, based on how we treat others. Not the ones we like\love and associate with, but those who we DO NOT like, DO NOT care to be around, those who wrong us! “For with the same judgment you pronounce, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but fail to notice the beam in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while there is still a beam in your own eye? You hypocrite! First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye”. (Matthew 7:2-5) It is time to REJECT the lies of the devil and the world! It is time to claim your identity as a CHILD OF GOD and FORGIVE, move on from the past! When the devil reminds you of your\our PAST, you remind him of HIS FUTURE! And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. We are never more LIKE GOD, as we are when we FORGIVE! Amen!
