Way of The Warrior- A Daily Devotional

He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, do you wash my feet?” Jesus answered him, “What I am doing you do not understand now, but afterward you will understand. “Peter said to him, “You shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no share with me.” Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, not my feet only but also my hands and my head!” Jesus said to him, “The one who has bathed does not need to wash, except for his feet, but is completely clean. And you are clean, but not every one of you.” – John 13:6-10 ESV

Warrior;
Before the Son of Man was mocked, beaten, tortured, spit upon and nailed to the cross; before HIS LAST SUPPER, He took on the role of a lowly servant and washed the feet of His creatures! You CAN NOT have fellowship with Jesus until HE takes your feet into HIS HANDS. The feet are important, for It is our feet that allow us to STAND FIRM. Stand your ground…For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. (Eph 6:10-17)

Leader, our feet represent our WALK with God. This is a serious implication! We must completely YIELD to HIM! Isaiah 6:2; Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: God creates His creatures to function in the environment He will place them in. Two to cover their eyes- Gods Shekinah glory is too much for even angels to see. Two were to fly, of course. The final 2 are to cover their feet. Our feet, supply our foundation, they give us stability and they are the piece of us that keeps us connected to the dirt, they represent our creature-hood. Like God told Moses when he turned to see the bush that was burning, but not being consumed. Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” (Exodus 3:5) No dirty shoes, to separate God from His creature!

Conduit, are you willing to sit at the FEET OF JESUS, and have your FEET in the hands of our LORD? We must recognize we are sinners who need to be cleansed! Jesus is still in the business of washing His disciple’s feet! Without the washing of our feet, there is no fellowship with Jesus! Be cleansed and BE- in HIS hands! Only then will your walk have a PEACE that surpasses all understanding. No Jesus, No Peace. KNOW JESUS, KNOW PEACE!
