The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every kind of jewel. The first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each of the gates made of a single pearl, and the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass. – Revelation 21:19-21 ESV

Warrior;

What we value as human beings, and what God values as ABBA DADDY, are very far apart!  This world is temporal, at most 120 years, post flood.  Eternity is much longer!  We need to get our minds right and focus now, with what our focus WILL BE in eternity! Our attention in eternity will hardly be focused on earthly treasures. In the flesh, on this planet, we pursue treasures like precious metals and stones.  We say and believe things like; ‘Diamonds are a girl’s best friend’, ‘Land never depreciates’, and ‘there is only security in Gold and Silver’.…” However, the Bible teaches us that what we VALUE TODAY, will one day be no more than a source of pavement for the believer in heaven. The streets, walls, gates of heaven will be adorned with stuff we put in safes and safety deposit boxes.  We will walk on what we desire and treasure, we will ‘trod asunder’ those things we exchange our lives for on this planet.  However, KNOW THIS; no matter how many precious jewels or materials make up the physical construction of heaven, nothing will be of greater value than the God who loves us, died for us and ROSE AGAIN FOR US- and being in His presence, under the umbrella of HIS GLORY!  Priceless!

Leader, what we value and what God values are not in the same dimension! If we valued what Jehovah values, the church wouldn’t be dead and walking in the ways and the accolades of the world. God says clearly there are at least 7 things that are more valuable than Gold! If you look at your time, your energy, and your excitement like you would your money, and how you distributed those investments over these 7 things God says are more valuable than Gold—would you have abundance in heaven, or abundance on earth? Remember God implores us to do things that create a great RETURN ON INVESTMENT in the eternal Kingdom of God, not the temporal kingdom of the Prince of the Power of the Air. Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also”. (Matthew 6:19-21) Throughout scripture it is clear that God says that the following 7 things are more valuable than Gold: The Word of God, Wisdom\Understanding, the Blood of Christ, Faith, A good name, Heaven, and your Soul! Let’s dig in – IT IS WRITTEN…!

Conduit, Hear the Word of the Lord. The Word of God; “The law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces. They [the words of God] are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold” (Psalm 119:72, Psalm 19:10). Wisdom: “But where can wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding? Man does not know its value, nor is it found in the land of the living. The deep says, ‘It is not in me’; and the sea says, ‘It is not with me.’ Pure gold cannot be given in exchange for it, nor can silver be weighed as its price” (Job 28:12-15). The Blood of Christ; “Knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ” (1 Peter 1:18-19) Faith: “So that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 1:7). A Good Name: “A good name is to be more desirable than great wealth, favor is better than silver and gold” (Proverbs 22:1). Heaven: See Matthew 6:19-21. Treasures on earth are temporal and uncertain (1 Timothy 6:17, Luke 12:20). They are among the things that will be “burned up” in the last day (2 Peter 3:10). In contrast, our treasures in heaven are “imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away” (1 Peter 1:4). Your Soul: “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Matthew 16:26). Comparing what God values, and what you value- how are you doing with the investment of your Heart, Body and Soul? “A faithful, sensible servant is one to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his other household servants and feeding them. If the master returns and finds that the servant has done a good job, there will be a reward. I tell you the truth, the master will put that servant in charge of all he owns. But what if the servant is evil and thinks, ‘My master won’t be back for a while,’ and he begins beating the other servants, partying, and getting drunk? The master will return unannounced and unexpected, and he will cut the servant to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Matthew 24:45-51) People Get ready, there is a train a comin’!
