This is an incredible verse! The God of the universe, the ONE WHO PAID IT ALL, the only ONE WORTHY to open the scroll- the deed to planet earth- is the ONE WHO WILL SERVE, His good and faithful servants! Then I saw a scroll in the right hand of the one who was sitting on the throne. There was writing on the inside and the outside of the scroll, and it was sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel, who shouted with a loud voice: “Who is worthy to break the seals on this scroll and open it?” But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll and read it. Then I began to weep bitterly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll and read it. But one of the twenty-four elders said to me, “Stop weeping! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the heir to David’s throne, has won the victory. He is worthy to open the scroll and its seven seals.” (Revelation 5:1-5)
Leader, Jesus told us when He was on this planet before His death and resurrection- He told his followers; And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And Paul tells us of the magnificent glory of what we will experience in that time;” No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” (1 Cor 2:9) Before His arrest and crucifixion Jesus did something similar to what He will do again in heaven; He riseth from supper and laid aside his garments; and took a towel and girded himself. (John 13:4) Notice the consistency of our SAVIOR! HE IS WORTHY of all our PRAISE and our WATCHING and WANTING for HIS RETURN!
Conduit, Jesus makes another powerful promise about those who ENDURE to the end: “Yes,” Jesus replied, “and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for my sake and for the Good News, will receive now in return a hundred times as many houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and property—along with persecution. And in the world to come that person will have eternal life. But many who are the greatest now will be least important then, and those who seem least important now will be the greatest then.” (Mark 10:29-31) So here is today’s LITMUS test: Out of all the things you are LOOKING FORWARD to, is the main one the RETURN OF CHRIST? This will tell you your SPIRITUAL temperature more than anything else! Are you ON ALERT, WATCHING, WANTING, preparing, LIVING as ONE WHO CRAVES, DESIRES HIS RETURN? Up Until NOW…! Focus- Amen!
