Way of The Warrior- A Daily Devotional

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. – Ephesians 3:20-21

Warrior;
This is one of the key evangelical messages. GOD IS ABLE. He is the God of the universe. If there was a God, a pre-eminent being, then He would be all powerful. IF you are still wondering if there is a God, then even this message is too much for you since you have yet to sublimate your will to His will. However, for those who have moved beyond the basic understanding, the basic belief that there is a God- and that THEY are NOT, HIM- then it makes sense that as GOD, HE, JEHOVAH, is OMNIPOTENT, meaning ALL POWERFUL. Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10) Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. (Matthew 10:29) I form light and create darkness, I make well-being and create calamity, I am the Lord, who does all these things. (Isaiah 45:7) God is able to carry you all the way. (See Numbers 13:24-14:9) God is able to give you victory. (See 2 Chronicles 37:7-22) God is able to deliver you FROM the fire, and He is able to deliver you IN the fire! (See Daniel 3:13-26) God is able to give you a breakthrough. (Matthew 9:27) No matter what, where, when, who or why- GOD IS ABLE! Once you have acknowledged God, then know HE IS ABLE!

Leader, GOD IS WILLING! He is willing to be your everything. This is why He told us through Moses what His name is. His name tells you that HE IS WILLING! Then Moses said to God, “If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what shall I say to them?” God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations. (Exodus 3:13-15) Jesus, the incarnate God, God in the flesh; Emmanuel- God with us, affirmed His name when He made the 8- ‘I AM’ statements: “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst”. “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life”. “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture”. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep”. “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live”. “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me”. “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser”. “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.” Jesus is telling us, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last. I am the living one. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave”. (Revelation 1:17b-18) Jesus is telling us, HE IS WILLING!

Conduit, The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.” (2 Peter 3:9, John 3:16, John 6:40). It is God Who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:4) Evangelism is defined as; the spreading of the Christian gospel by public preaching or personal witness, the winning or revival of personal commitments to Christ. Evangelism is getting people to believe that God is WILLING and ABLE to meet all our needs, and to fill all our voids! Now that you have come to this basic understanding, people seem to stop growing, or only use God as a ‘get out of jail card’, or a “one call”, upon arrest that is granted by our Miranda Rights. The next step beyond the understanding, beyond the belief that God is Able and God is willing is to ask ourselves the same question! Are we WILLING, are we ABLE to leave our past ways, our flesh ways, and the world’s ways? Evangelism is about getting people to believe, but once you believe now is the time to get to know God, to trust God, to humble ourselves before God and to make ourselves WILLING and ABLE. IF you are still stuck on, ‘if God is willing and able’, then you are most likely not one of His. If you know that God is willing and able, now it is time to be like Jesus and become willing and able. Willing to die to yourself and to live for Christ. (Galatians 2:20-21) Willing to pick up your cross daily. (Luke 9:23-24) Willing to decrease, so that He can increase. (John 3:29-30) Willing to ACT AS IF, in your weakness, His strength is perfected. (2 Corinthians 12:7-10) Today commit to becoming WILLING, because you are able! Willing to surrender to the WILL of GOD, and walk in HIS WAYS, in HIS WORD, and in HIS WILL!
