Way of The Warrior- A Daily Devotional

For their rock is not as our Rock; our enemies are by themselves. For their vine comes from the vine of Sodom and from the fields of Gomorrah; their grapes are grapes of poison; their clusters are bitter; their wine is the poison of serpents and the cruel venom of asps.” ‘Is not this laid up in store with me, sealed up in my treasuries? Warrior;
There are 2 teams, no more, just 2. There is God’s team and the other team. I disagree with the sentiment that only one road leads to God! ALL ROADS LEAD TO GOD! We will ALL meet God someday soon, but we must decide will we meet him as SAVIOR, or as Prosecutor? We must REMEMBER why we were created, WHY WE ARE HERE! It is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment. (Hebrews 9:27) We will ALL stand before God; when it is over, when this part of our experience is over and we stand before the judgement seat of GOD- Will we be in AWE and WONDER, or will we be in FEAR, and DENIAL? Everybody has a god and every GOD REQUIRES A SACRIFICE! All other gods but JEHOVAH, YAHWEH, ADONAI, El Shaddai- require a sacrifice of your eternal life. You can do whatever you want now, but you will pay the price eternally. However, the God of the Bible, Jehovah, requires a sacrifice of your life now, and then grants you eternity in the KINGDOM of God as a PRIEST, a CO-HEIR of the KINGDOM OF GOD. That is why the greatest Christian of all time-minus Jesus, Paul, put it clearly: For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. (Philippians 1:21) To Remember, etymologically is to “put back together”. Every time we put Mr. Potato Head back together- we RE-MEMBERED him. When someone has their arms and legs removed they are ‘dismembered’, so conversely to ‘remember’ is to put the arms and legs back on- to put them back together.

Leader, I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in Me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers. Such branches are gathered up, thrown into the fire, and burned. If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, proving yourselves to be My disciples. (John 15:5-8) Again, we are either engrafted into the vine of Christ, or we are from the vine of Sodom and Gomorrah- the world and its gods of the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life- the GOD OF SELF. God is keeping score, like any good accountant- He has books: And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. (Revelation 20:12) It is time to make the decision to be like GOD and to REMEMBER what really matters, to remember what this life is truly about, to remember the LOVE of GOD and the CREATOR OF OUR EXISTENCE, to remember that our life is Christs and that our WILL IS HIS WILL. To remember is like being engrafted into a vine, recreated, reminded.

Conduit, there are several times in the Bible, the phrase God remembered is used. After the rains of the great flood had stopped, “God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark” (Genesis 8:1). When the Hebrew slaves cried out to the Lord in Egypt, “God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant” (Exodus 2:24). And Psalm 98:3 says, “He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to Israel.” (See also Numbers 10:9; Acts 10:31; and Revelation 16:19.) Deuteronomy is a book about remembrance. 16 times in Deuteronomy the word remember, or remembrance appears. Furthermore, these words are in some tense in your Bible some 320 times (KJV); therefore, not only is Deuteronomy a book about remembrance, but the whole Bible is a book about remembrance. God knows our struggles, He knows the wiles of the devil, He knows how busy our life can be with all the earthly protests, and the business dealings, and the family outings and ballgames, and the pleasure seeking and kingdom building. (See Luke 14:15-23; The parable of the Great Banquet) We are soooooo busy, that it is HARD TO REMEMBER why we are here; why were we given the gift of life, why were we saved and kept here on this planet, why did God put me in the lives of the people I share this experience with? We are here to bring GLORY to JEHOVAH GOD. We are here to be the HANDS and FEET of God, to be used by the HOLY SPIRIT, to do the will of ABBA DADDY- GOD! This is why we MUST BE IN THE WORD DAILY- so we can REMEMBER!
