Who\what is the LORD of your LIFE? Who is calling the shots, who has set your SUN into orbit and GUIDES the movement of your planets? The book of JOB is the oldest book in the Bible. MAN has always looked up to the Pleiades star constellation for guidance. Sailors have relied on the stars for navigation, and farmers for when to sow and harvest their crops – the Zuni tribe in New Mexico called the stars the ‘Seed Stars’, and when the cluster disappeared every Spring, this was the time to sow. Other cultures believe they seeded the planet and are the original seven mothers of the earth. There is nothing NEW out there- SEEK the ONE WHO MADE THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH- NOT the heavens and the earth!
Leader, In the Torah, we are told that astrology is not simply a superstition, but a capital crime – punishable by death! Many people tend to get astronomy and astrology mixed up, however no astronomer takes astrology seriously, there is simply no feasible basis for it. In Deuteronomy 18:10-14 we are told that whoever seeks guidance from someone who follows astrology, or tarot cards, or psychics is an ABOMINATION to the LORD! However, the Psalmist tells us in Ps 19:1-6, The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handiwork. Day unto day utters speech and night unto night reveals knowledge. We must know WHO OUR GOD IS and what HE SAYS about HIM and HIS CREATION! In the early days of existence, the Mazzaroth was used by the ancients to understand the times, to know when things were taking place.
Conduit, the band of stars on both sides of this path which is known today as the Zodiac is called the Mazzaroth in Hebrew. The names of these stars, Virgo, Pisces, Capricorn, Leo etc., are familiar to us today, because they are used by astronomers and navigators to designate various areas of the sky. Sadly, they have also been exploited by astrologers for occultic purposes which are so very far from the truth. The 12 signs have nothing to say about man, however they do have a great deal to say about God’s plan of redemption for mankind – from the virgin birth (Virgo) to the triumph of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah (Leo)! Again, the world has taken something of Godly use and design and perverted it, TWISTED IT, made it WICKED and gave us Astrology. The Stars and all of God’s creation point to JESUS! And then at last, the sign that the Son of Man is coming will appear in the heavens, and there will be deep mourning among all the peoples of the earth. And they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. (Matt 24:30).
