And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious about how you should defend yourself or what you should say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” –Luke 12:11-12 ESV

The NUMBER 1 weapon formed against us is CONFUSION! When people are confused, they do NOT; STEP OUT, STAND UP, ACT UP or SPEAK UP! We are called NOT ONLY, to SPEAK, but we are told to SPEAK THE TRUTH, whether the world likes it or not! And most likely, in today’s world- IT WILL NOT! That is why leaders remember the RIGHT THINGS! The couple of verses preceding our verse of study lays the foundation: “And I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man also will acknowledge before the angels of God, but the one who denies me before men will be denied before the angels of God. (v8-9) Based on your past- UP UNTIL NOW- would HE acknowledge you?
Leader, this tells us WHO IS IN US, which SPIRIT. The spirit of our FATHER, ABBA- or the SPIRIT of the FATHER of LIES! For GREATER is HE who is in YOU, as a follower of JESUS CHRIST, then HE that is in this world, as a child of the PRINCE OF THE AIRE- see 1 John 4:4. This is mentioned a few times by Christ, meaning it is important to CHRIST and important for the DISCIPLES understanding and MISSION! We can read similar ADMONITIONS from Christ in Luke 21:12-15: “But before all this occurs, there will be a time of great persecution. You will be dragged into synagogues and prisons, and you will stand trial before kings and governors because you are my followers. But this will be your opportunity to tell them about me. So don’t worry in advance about how to answer the charges against you, for I will give you the right words and such wisdom that none of your opponents will be able to reply or refute you! You work for the KING of KINGS, the LORD OF LORDS, you are HIS ambassador in chains, you REPRESENT THE MESSIAH! He will tell you HOW- just have FAITH and an OPEN heart, an OPEN MIND and then OPEN YOUR MOUTH! Faith comes by HEARING the WORD! IF it comes by hearing, then we need to be SPEAKING!
Conduit, GOD IS sending HIS CHILDREN out to REPRESENT HIM to this fallen, broken world and you will be MOCKED, ridiculed and told you are a BIGOT, you are Closed-minded, they will call you RACIST and HOMOPHOBE, but GOD WILL call you SON or DAUGHTER and tell you , “Well done my good and faithful SON\DAUGHTER”. “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Beware of men, for they will deliver you over to courts and flog you in their synagogues, and you will be dragged before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them and the Gentiles. When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. (Matthew 17-20) This world, this country is warring against the GOD who has blessed us, and we need to decide if we are an earth-dweller or we are a BROADCASTER of GOOD NEWS! If we want the WORD OF GOD, to come out of us when we are squeezed by life, attacked by the enemy or confronting the lies of the enemy that permeate everyday life in AMERICA, then we need to put the WORD OF GOD in us daily! Because when we get squeezed by life, the enemy and our flesh; the only thing that can come OUT OF US, is what IN US! Either you get the reward or it will go the ROCKS: He answered, “I tell you, if they were to keep silent, the stones would cry out.” (Luke 19:40) AVAIL and COMMIT! Put the WORD IN your head and heart and then OPEN YOUR MOUTH and bring GLORY and HONOR to our GOD and HIS only begotten SON, our redeemer, JESUS! Be a witness!
