Warrior:
Our God is a God of NEW BEGINNINGS! 2 Cor 5:17 is the reminder of this: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. We must remember who we serve; THE GOD of the Universe! The Maker of the Heavens and the Earth is THE ONE we call MASTER, LORD and ABBA- DADDY! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. (Philippians 4:13, 1 John 4:4)
Leader, God has GREAT PLANS for YOU! He knows your choices, He knows your struggles, HE knows your PAST and HE knows your FUTURE! For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11) The Israelites were at the end of their 70 years of Babylonian captivity, He wants the tribe of Judah to know that even though they did this to themselves! Even though Judah was going through some SELF-INFLICTED misery- God is NOT out to GET THEM! HE has forgiven them, and He has provided the WAY OUT of the wilderness. He has provided a PATH where NO PATH exists!
Conduit, Is your sin greater than the BLOOD OF JESUS? As Pastor Jeff Wickwire says, “Our windshield is bigger than our rear-view mirror for a reason!” God is calling us to personal forgiveness and HOPE in the ONE who builds ROADS in the Wilderness and RIVERS in the DESERT! God, and Paul, is telling us; “But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead.” (Phil 3:13) God is telling us to QUIT looking backwards, quit keeping our ‘Pound of Flesh’, ETCH-A-SKETCH your RECORD OF WRONG: Forgive others and yourself! Isaiah is persuading us to: 1-Quit looking back. 2- LOOK FORWARD- for that is where the HOPE OF GLORY is! 3- Seize your Season! The Time is NOW to walk through GOD’s OPEN DOOR! For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39) Amen!
