Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; for the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.- Psalm 1 ESV

It is clear- The Psalmist is telling us there are TWO GROUPS; two sets of BEHAVIORS, two HARVESTS, two different OUTCOMES- TWO different TEAMS! I heard a pastor say this Psalm addresses the question, “Where am I going?” The psalm starts with BLESSED and ends with PERISH.

Leader, this is the MAJOR choice; Are you walking with God or are you going your own way? In 1Kings 18:21 the CHOICE is simplified: Then Elijah stood in front of them and said, “How much longer will you waver, hobbling between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him! But if Baal is God, then follow him!” But the people were completely silent

Conduit; FOLLOW GOD, don’t be silent- Speak UP! DECIDE to YIELD FRUIT in your season, by DELIGHTING in the WORD and WAY of GOD- day and night! Coram Deo! This is how we live to the glory of God! To live coram Deo is to live one’s entire life in the presence of God, under the authority of God, to the glory of God. To live in the presence of God is to understand that whatever we are doing and wherever we are doing it, we are acting under the gaze of God. God is omnipresent. There is no place so remote that we can escape His penetrating gaze. To be aware of the presence of God is also to be acutely aware of His sovereignty. Live Coram Deo- Like It Matters, It Does!!
