For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. – 1 Corinthians 2:2-5 ESV

So that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God! This is the ROAD to SUCCESS for a follower of CHRIST. Success is a big part of our lives. Every human being starts off everything with a desire to be successful. In the insurance industry we used to explain how people don’t plan to fail they fail to plan. If you take 100 people age 25 These 100 people, who all start even at the age of 25, all believe they’re going to be successful. If you ask any one of them if they want to be a success they would tell you they did. You would notice that they are eager toward life, there is a certain sparkle in their eye, an erectness to their carriage. Life seems like a pretty interesting adventure to them. Is this a fair description of your walk with God? Remember when you first became a believer and were excited about the journey? Do you see yourself being successful as a follower of Jesus Christ, successful in your walk? Unlike the temporal world, we need only ONE THING to be successful on our Christian journey, it is called FAITH. The Bible says without FAITH it is impossible to please God, impossible to be successful.

Leader, Jesus replied: “A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests. At the time of the banquet he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, for everything is now ready.’ “But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said, ‘I have just bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please excuse me.’ “Another said, ‘I have just bought five yoke of oxen, and I’m on my way to try them out. Please excuse me.’ “Still another said, ‘I just got married, so I can’t come.’ (Luke 14:16-20) Going back to those 100 people aged 25, let’s go into the future 40 years, and here is what you will find: 1 will be rich, 4 will be financially independent, 41 will still be working out of necessity, and 54 will be DEAD or DEAD BROKE-depending on others for life’s necessities. Just like in LIFE, in our Christian walk people DON’T PLAN TO FAIL, they FAIL TO PLAN, they fail to DEVELOP THEIR FAITH! If the devil can’t make you bad, he will make you busy. So busy with this temporal world, that we forget our first love, we forget what really matters and focus our attention on that ONE THING, our LORD, our FIRST LOVE. Why, because we lack FAITH and we get wrapped up in the WRONG THINGS. The Covid-19 pandemic has slowed us all down, and it is time to ACTIVATE OUR FAITH.

Conduit, your SUCCESS in the CHRISTIAN LIFE is going to be measured by FAITH. According to your faith, be it unto you. (Matthew 9:29b) Faith above ALL THINGS, pleases God! Adrian Rodgers used to say, “If you please God it doesn’t matter who you displease. If you displease God, it doesn’t matter whom you please. Faith is NOT rooted in human will, faith is not rooted in human worth, faith is not rooted in human wisdom- TRUE FAITH comes from the WORD OF GOD. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17) Faith does not rest on a road map, but in a relationship with ALMIGHTY GOD. Faith is believing in the Word of God and acting upon it. Believing in the Word of God IS NOT FAITH, that is the root of faith, the preamble to faith, but ACTING ON IT, is faith. Believing the Word of God is mental, faith is ACTUAL. Faith is belief with LEGS ON IT. The difference; knowing the Word of God and KNOWING THE GOD OF THAT WORD. “Today ACT AS IF you believe in God and HIS WORD. Charles Stanley put it succinctly: “Obey God and leave the consequences to HIM.”
