Here is the Genesis of man’s problems on earth. Here is where it all started. Sin entered man’s world. Sin became part of the genetic code of man\woman. When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. (Romans 5:12) It was through Adam and Eve, the first people, that death, destruction, pain, misery, disappointment- separation from God happened. In the field of Leadership, it is important to learn to ask the right questions. The right question can lead one to the right answer. These verses beg the questions, “How and Why?”
Leader, God gives man FREE WILL and God is LOVE! Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love … God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. (1 John 4:8, 16) God does NOT force us to love, for a gift that is commanded is no gift at all. 1 John 4:7-21 speaks of God’s loving nature. Love is not merely an attribute of God, it is His very nature. God is not only loving; He is fundamentally love. God alone loves in the completeness and perfection of love. Therefore, if God is love and we, His followers, are born of God, then we will also love. God loves us, so we must love one another. A true follower of Jesus, one saved by love and filled with God’s love, must live in love toward God and others. And we must be reminded that LOVE IS A VERB! For God so loved the world- He did something about it! (John 3:16, Romans 5:8) For you so love your spouse, you do something about it. For you so love your children you do something about it. For you so love your country you do something about it! Love is a verb.
Conduit, the next question is, ‘How’? The devil twisted God’s WORD and INTENT, and since the woman had NO FIRSTHAND ACCOUNT, of GOD’S WORD, she was confused and conflicted. Confusion is our enemy’s number 1 weapon formed against us. Unless we know the WORD OF GOD, then we can’t know the WILL OF GOD. Eve heard from Adam, who heard from God. Eve was getting God’s word from Adam, instead of knowing it for herself. She paraphrased God’s word and added to it. She was unsure of God’s will, God’s motive and was not exactly sure of HIS WORD. Because of this confusion she was led by a crafty snake to sin against God and take down her whole family with her. She doubted God’s motive, because she didn’t know God’s word. When we don’t know God’s word, then the world can make us doubt HIS LOVE. With all the pain in this world because of our free will, because of our choices, we too can doubt God’s love! The Good news is that God is NOT SURPRISED, God is NOT caught off guard- GOD IS ON THE THRONE and IN CONTROL. We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. (Romans 8:28) When we study God’s word, we understand God’s love and we are willing to have HOPE that God is returning to RIGHT THE WRONG of the Garden of Eden. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5) LET US be thankful to God for the second Adam- which is what Christmas is all about! For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:17) Enjoy this GIFT OF LOVE!
