For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. We should not be like Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own deeds were evil and his brother’s righteous. Do not be surprised, brothers, that the world hates you. -1 John 3:11-13 ESV
From the book by Rick Joyner, “There were 2 trees in the Garden: Cain is a type of the fallen nature of man. Cain’s offering was of grain, the fruit of Cain’s sweat. Cain thought his words would be acceptable to the LORD as a sacrifice. Many TRY to base their relationship to God on their works, rather than on the sacrifice of Christ. As we are all descendants of the fallen man, this nature is in us all. Cain was the firstborn and is a type of the first man, Adam. Cain was of the earth, “a tiller of the ground”. This reflects a fundamental characteristic of those as the seed of Cain- they are “earthly minded.” This includes all who have not been born again by the Spirit. Unless someone is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God’. (John 3:3)
Leader, the descendants of Cain, became worshipers of the creature and the creation instead of the Creator. Cain is a ‘worker of the ground’, which speaks of earthly-mindedness. WE can only worship that which we know, see 1 Cor 2:14. The culminating stage of ‘self-worship’ bring forth the materialism and various humanistic dogmas that place man as the CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE. “Religious” man, whose devotion is to the “church” or to Religious organizations-PRIDE in their DENOMINATION, not in their INTIMACY with Christ- is a ‘CREATURE-worshiper’. This attitude is also found among spiritualists who seek betterment, fulfillment, and harmony with the CREATION instead of the CREATOR.
Conduit, in Rev 13:11 we see that the second BEAST comes “up out of the earth”- the culmination of the seed of CAIN, ‘out of the ground’, earthly minded. The BEAST is the embodiment of religion that originates in the MIND OF MAN. He comes up out of the earth, in contrast to CHRIST, who comes down from the heaven. Jesus can only be brought forth by the Spirit of God. Just like the NEW JERUSALEM comes down from heaven, again testifying of its’s heavenly origin; Born of God-NOT MAN! The good that is in each and every one of us, will NEVER redeem us from the EVIL that is in us by nature, by our FLESH! Phil 3:2-3 reminds us; Look out for the dogs, look out for the evildoers, look out for those who mutilate the flesh. For we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh!
