These also are proverbs of Solomon which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied. It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out. -Proverbs 25:1-2 ESV

The History of the Kings of Israel and Judah was characterized by their constant disobedience to God; only a handful of kings were faithful and whenever a disobedient king rose to power, he led the whole nation away from God and turned the people to idolatry.  All 19 kings of the Northern Kingdom, Israel were wicked.  Many of the kings of the Southern Kingdom, Judah were wicked.  A few Like Jehoshaphat, Uzziah, Josiah and Hezekiah, Josiah- were considered ‘Good Kings”. Two of the most wicked kings in Judah were Hezekiah’s father, Manasseh, and Hezekiah’s son, Ahaz. Hezekiah led a NATIONAL REVIVAL. Immediately upon becoming KING, He changed the culture in Judah: In the first year of his reign, in the first month, he opened the doors of the house of the LORD and repaired them. (2 Chronicles 29:3) Hezekiah brought the people back into an intimate relationship with Jehovah, Yahweh- with God. He did that by RETURNING to the WORD OF GOD.  He opened the BIBLE and he and his people started REMINDING themselves of the WORD OF GOD!

Leader, if we want to KNOW GOD and WALK with GOD, and grow into the image of God the Son, Jesus.  WE must know HOW, and we find out HOW, in HIS WORD.  In the Gospel of John, we are reminded of what Jesus said concerning the ONE WAY TO GOD THE FATHER; Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. (14:6) Whenever we want to get BACK TO GOD.  Get CLOSER TO GOD- there is only ONE WAY and that is through the WORD OF GOD- just like the only way to ABBA is through Jesus.  Logically the ‘Transitive principle’ states: If A= B and B=C, then A=C.  The BIBLE is the Word of God and Jesus is the WORD OF GOD- thus, JESUS IS THE WORD! In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. (John 1:1-4)

Conduit, Hezekiah’s revival started where all revival and repentance take place- the HEART! Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with the LORD, the God of Israel, in order that his fierce anger may turn away from us. (2 Chronicles 29:10) God’s interests so gripped his heart that, by God using him, he was able to affect the hearts of all the people. “Also in Judah the hand of God was to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, by the word of the Lord” (30.12). The shepherd heart of the king led him to command that the sin offering should be made for “all Israel” (29.24).  This is the PATTERN, this is the way to CONNECT with the God of the universe.  Open your heart and OPEN YOUR BIBLE!  When you do that GOD IS PLEASED and LIVES CHANGE! Thus Hezekiah did throughout all Judah, and he did what was good and right and faithful before the LORD his God. And every work that he undertook in the service of the house of God and in accordance with the law and the commandments, seeking his God, he did with all his heart, and prospered. (2 Chronicles 31:20-21) Today SEEK HIM with all your HEART, BODY and SOUL and PROSPER with HIM as your PORTION!  It is a HEART ISSUE, that will affect your body and soul eternally!
