And as they brought them out, one said, “Escape for your life. Do not look back or stop anywhere in the valley. Escape to the hills, lest you be swept away.” – Gen 19:17 ESV

We are called to share the GOOD NEWS and sometimes that means sharing the consequences of what will happen if one CHOOSES to NOT follow God and His son, Jesus. We are NOT called to hit people over the head with the gospel, we are NOT supposed to beat people down with the Word of God! If any household or town refuses to welcome you or listen to your message, shake its dust from your feet as you leave. I tell you the truth, the wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah will be better off than such a town on the judgment day.(Matt 10:14-15) True Warriors know that THE TIME IS NOW, and live with a sense of URGENCY!

Leader, Lot ran, his daughters close behind. “But his wife, from behind him, looked back, and she became a pillar of salt” (Genesis 19:26). She lagged behind. She turned and watched the flaming sulfur fall from the sky, consuming everything she valued. Then it consumed her. The Hebrew for “looked back” means “to regard, to consider, to pay attention to.” What are you paying attention to that is KILLING YOU? Lot’s wife either identified too much with the city—and joined it—or she neglected to fully obey God’s warning, and she died.

Conduit, there is a message for us! The image of Lot’s wife standing watch over the Dead Sea area—where to this day no life can exist—is a REMINDER for us- DO NOT LOOK BACK or turn back from the profession of faith we have made, but to follow Christ without hesitation and abide in His love (Luke 17:32). For one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is LORD!
