“And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write: ‘The words of the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and whose feet are like burnished bronze. “‘I know your works, your love and faith and service and patient endurance, and that your latter works exceed the first. But I have this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and is teaching and seducing my servants to practice sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols- Rev 2:18-20 ESV
Warrior;
Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the TIME IS NEAR. (Rev 1:3) Jesus introduces Himself as the writer of each letter to each church, but it is based on THEIR standing before HIM.
Leader, Jesus’ favorite title for Himself was SON OF MAN. He sometimes would talk about HIS closeness to the Father and HIS rightful place as HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN- but rarely used the term, SON OF GOD. God calls Jesus HIS SON (Ps 2:7, Heb 1:5, Matt 3:17….) Demons called him SON OF GOD (Mk 5:7, Lk 8:28). Here is one of the few times, JESUS describes Himself this way because of the REPROACH! (Heb 11:26). Many believe Jezebel, referenced here, was not a specific person but an attitude. This church had become like the world and HE IS NOT HAPPY!
Conduit, just because your latter works exceed your first, DOES NOT mean your heart is right. “I the LORD search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.” (Jer 17:10)

Hi, Scott. This the Jezebel age, where it is ALL ABOUT SENSUAL, NOT sensuous experince. God is okay sensuous, because he gave us those 5 dear things to help us take pleasure in the things he has made for us to enjoy. He HATES misuse of self and others, accomplished via SENSUAL activities. One is spiritual, mutual pleasure, like family gatherings at Thanksgiving. The other is about feeding a “CRAVE”. Jezebel is all about the external. She has style, the trappings of beauty, physical only elements. Love, like Tina Turner sang, “What’s love got to do with it?”, is a LAUGHABLE thing. So goes today’s worldly, in- the-moment society. In-the-moment ONLY? A tragic orbit to have as your daily diet.
