Do you know God WELL enough- having trusted in HIM in dark times and  walked with HIM in HIS QUALITIES?  Do you trust in the LORD, with a trust that is founded in KNOWING the GOD of the BIBLE, by knowing the BIBLE of GOD? In the minor prophet book of Nahum we are reminded. The LORD is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him. (Nah 1:7) Do you find REFUGE in the LORD in the dark times? He is Jehovah-Sabaoth; the LORD OF HOSTS!

Leader, it has been pointed out that 8 compound names of Jehovah are referred to in this well-known Psalm of David. Jehovah as the good, great and chief Shepherd is engaged in all the perfection of His attributes on behalf of His sheep. “The Lord is my Shepherd”; Jehovah-Ro’i. (v1) “I shall not want”; Jehovah-Jireh. (v2) “He leads me beside still waters”-waters of quietness; Jehovah-Shalom. (v3) “He restores my soul”; Jehovah-Ropheka. (v3) What a GREAT GOD we have!

Conduit, in verse 3 we also see God is Jehovah-Tsidkenu; “He leads me in paths of righteousness for HIS NAMES SAKE. In verse 4; “You are with me”, He is Jehovah-Shammah. In verse 5 we see He is Jehovah-Nissi – “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies “, and He is Jehovah-mekoddishkem:”You anoint my head with oil”. When we know GOD we can rest in HIS HANDS and know that our CUP RUNNETH OVER!  For the PEACE that surpasses all human understanding- KNOW GOD and make HIM KNOWN!
