Before the way of faith in Christ was available to us, we were placed under guard by the law. We were kept in protective custody, so to speak, until the way of faith was revealed. Let me put it another way. The law was our guardian until Christ came; it protected us until we could be made right with God through faith. And now that the way of faith has come, we no longer need the law as our guardian.-Gal 3:23-25 NLT

Some of us are still working to be GOOD ENOUGH.  We think we need to add to what Christ did on the cross-impossible!  We think, If we MAKE EFFORT, do A, B and C, THEN the GRACE of GOD will take over.  Don’t be a Judaizer! The Law, the 10 commandments, where intended to show us our feebleness in keeping them, our uselessness in ‘trying’ to be SELF-RIGHTOUSNESS.  The requirement of HEAVEN- eternity with GOD is PERFECTION! Jesus was the PERFECT RANSOM! It has to be about JESUS, get off yourself.  

Leader, Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”— so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith. (v 13-14) Religion is man’s attempt to reach God, but TRUE biblical CHRISTIANITY is understanding, CHRIST HAS truly set us free. Now we must make sure that we stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.

Conduit, one we have been RANSOMED, saved, REDEEMED by Christ then He begins to write His laws and commandments in the mind of the new believer. (Heb 10:16) Instead of the external tutoring of the law, the believer now begins to develop the mind of Christ by the Holy Spirit through faith. (Phil 2:5) This is the internal working of the Holy Spirit to lead the believer in all righteousness! (Rom 8:14) Here is some more GOODNEWS, HE’s doing the heavy lifting! BE confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will continue to perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. Amen!
