For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.
-1 John 2:16 ESV

Warrior;

The pride of life can be defined as anything that is “of the world”; anything that leads to arrogance, ostentation, pride in self, presumption, and boasting. Anything that produces the pride of life comes from a LOVE of the world. “if anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is NOT in him”.(v 15) Desires of the eyes and desires of the flesh show up both in the temptation of Even in the Garden and the temptation of Christ in the wilderness. Gen 3:6; So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate.

Leader, when Satan tempted Christ, he TRIED the same three temptations; lust of the flesh- bread for His hunger, lust of the eyes- “all kingdoms of the world with their splendor”, and the pride of life-daring Him to cast Himself from the roof of the Temple in order to prove that He was the Messiah by an ostentatious display of power that was NOT the WILL of GOD or HIS PLAN for the redemption of mankind!( Matt 4:1-11)

Conduit, you can be like EVE and give into the PRIDE of life, that leads to THE FALL, or you can be like CHRIST who negates the three by THE WORD OF GOD. IT IS WRITTEN: The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever. Amen!!
