The epistle to the churches in Galatia; Antioch, Iconium, Lystra and Derbe is all about FREEDOM!
It is Paul’s very first Letter He wrote and the second Letter written in the New Testament- right after the book of James. All these churches were started by Paul himself, they were special to Him, a bit of First Fruits. Martin Luther, the Father of the reformation, called the book of Galatians the “Magna Carta” of the Bible. It was this book that led to His work and the Reformation.
Leader, scripture says, “ALL humanity” are enslaved by sin in the kingdom of darkness ruled by Satan, who is the prince of the power of the air who dominates them. The freedoms they think they enjoy are only illusions on the way to eternal bondage in a hell of punishment. But they’re not free-it’s a LIE! There is no freedom to the unregenerate soul, because that soul is bound to sin. The only freedom they have is the freedom to choose the sin that most appeals to them. There’s no freedom from sin, guilt, fear, judgment or eternal punishment- slaves to sin!
Conduit, there is only one way to be free; And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (John 8:32) In the 4th chapter of GalatiansSaint Paul asks, “Before you Gentiles knew God, you were slaves … now that you know God, why do you want to go back again and become slaves once more to the weak and useless spiritual principles of this world?”
Proverbs 26:11 tells us: As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his foolishness. Don’t be a DOG-BE FREE IN CHRIST!
