According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire. – 1 Corinthians 3:10-15 ESV
Warrior;
How big do you want to play for God? There is a fundamental principle of construction- the size and strength of any building will be determined by the size and strength of its foundation. In other words, the GREATER the structure the more time we need to spend in the dirt! If we are to build a small structure, a short-lived creation- then some shallow work, and shallow footings will suffice. But if I choose to build something GREAT, something LASTING then I will need to go DEEP into the FOUNDATION, into the BEDROCK.
Leader, the same principle applies SPIRITUALLY, with the HOUSE we build for the LORD internally! We must build the foundation of our BELIEFs, and solidify the UNDERSTANDING of HIS WORD, and TRUTH. IT is only then that we can withstand the fiery darts of the devil and the corruption of the world, as well as the deception of those pretending to be committed followers of the risen King. (Eph 6:16) Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast and immovable. Always excel in the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (1 Cor 15:58)
Conduit, on Mar 11, 2021, following a major earthquake a 15-metre tsunami disabled the power supply and cooling of three Fukushima Daiichi reactors, causing a nuclear accident. As we watched the news we could see how the earthquake did little damage, the buildings were built to withstand the earthquake, but they were not built to withstand the devastating force of energy and momentum that ensued with the Tsunami. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. (2 Cor 4:7b-9) STAND FIRM on SOLID FAITH in the WORD and OUR FATHER GOD- DO NOT be SHAKEN by the rumbles of this world
