And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day. – Genesis 1:3-5 ESV
Warrior;
We serve a God of dichotomies. He is the maker of Science and so He sits above science- He can do the impossible. Science is Nature, and God sits above science and nature. Logically when God chooses to go outside the bounds of science, or nature, we call that SUPERNATURAL. God is the Lion and the Lamb, dichotomies. He wills that NONE shall perish, but He gives us FREE WILL, and many will choose to SEPARATE from the love of God and choose the wide path that leads to destruction. It is written, “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. “There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son. And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. (John 3:16-18) God is a God of quickly and a God of slowly, as in slow to anger, long suffering. Acts 16:25 and Acts 2:2 are a couple of the many SUDDENLIEs, “And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake…. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind.” Yet, when Lazarus was sick and ready to die, Jesus waited for 2 days to go to his friend, and Lazarus died. Hear the Word of the Lord; So the sisters sent word to Him, saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.” But when Jesus heard this, He said, “This sickness is not meant for death, but is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified by it.” (Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister, and Lazarus.) So when He heard that he was sick, He then stayed two days longer in the place where He was. (John 11:3-6) In the book of Revelation, God’s separating work involves calling out a people for Himself, judging the wicked, and ultimately establishing a new heaven and earth where only the righteous dwell, signifying a final separation of good and evil.
Leader, Dichotomy is a literary technique that divides a thing into two equal and contradictory parts, or between two opposing groups. The word dichotomy comes from the Greek word dichotomia, which means “dividing in two”. In literary works, writers use this technique for creating conflicts in their stories and plays. The Virgin Birth, We are saved by GRACE ALONE, through FAITH alone, in CHRIST alone, to the GLORY OF GOD alone, and it is the BIBLE alone! God cannot be in the presence of Sin and man is a creature that is naturally a SINNER, yet God creates a way for 2 opposing forces to come together! In the Beginning it says, God separated. In the CREATION experience of Genesis Chapter 1, God SEPARATED 4 times; verses 4,7,14,18. Separation is a big part of GOD’S PURPOSE! In the Beginning God separated. In the End, God separated. God came in the form of man to SEPARATE! Under the heading, “NOT PEACE, but division”, it is written, “Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. from now on in one house there will be five divided, three against two and two against three. They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.” (Luke 12:51-53) Are you on the RIGHT SIDE OF THE SEPARATION?
Conduit, Hear the Word of the Lord, “ Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them but gather the wheat into my barn.” (Matthew 13:24-30) Just as God separated at the BEGINNING, HE will separate at the end. At the very end of our FLESHLY EXPERIENCE, God will separate the sheep from the goats as described in the Bible. This event occurs when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all nations will be gathered before Him. The sheep, representing those who have accepted salvation in Jesus Christ, will be placed on His right, while the goats, representing those who have rejected Him, will be placed on His left. This separation signifies the judgment of God, where the righteous will inherit the kingdom prepared for them. The Bible tells us we are also to separate ourselves out. Romans 12:2 tells us to separate our thinking from the thinking patterns of the world. God tells us to separate by reminding us; that we are NOT of the world. We are IN THE WORLD, but NOT of the world- we are to be separated! You cannot separate flour, sugar, or butter from a baked chocolate chip cookie, they are OF THE COOKIE. But the Chocolate chips are IN THE COOKIE, they keep their form, they can be removed from a baked cookie! The phrase “be holy, for I am holy” is found in several scriptures; 1 Peter 1:16, Leviticus 11:44 and 20:26, these verses emphasize the call for holiness in the lives of believers, reflecting God’s own holiness. The biblical definition of “holy” is someone or something that is separated, sanctified, and dedicated to serve and fulfill the will of God. In the Old Testament, the Hebrew word “qodesh” is used for “holy,” while in the New Testament, the Greek word “hagios” represents “holy”. To be holy means to be cleansed of faults and set apart by God. The Time is NOW to be DIFFERENT, to SEPARATE yourself from the things, thoughts and feelings of this world and BE HOLY as GOD IS HOLY! Amen!
