And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” And it was so. And God made the two great lights—the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night—and the stars. And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day.- Genesis 1: 14-19 ESV

Warrior;

What a God, what a Book, what a WORD, what a BEGINNING! One of my favorite descriptions of the Bible is by Chuck Missler.  Missler explained the Bible this way, he said it was “66 books by 40 authors and we now find that it (the Bible) is an integrated message system from outside our time domain.” This is the WORD of God. It is the STORY that God wants His Creation to know and understand as THE TRUTH. It is the GOOD NEWS, the GOSPEL, The WORD. It is written; In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. (John 1:1-4) In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. (Genesis 1:1-4) God had prepared everything.  Everything was ready for The next phase of His plan.  The only thing lacking was light, He needed LIGHT. We can follow the ‘LIGHT’ thread throughout the Bible. We go from the Gospel of John in the New Testament, back to the book of Genesis, the very beginning, and of the Old Testament. The entire book can be summed up with that powerful metaphor.  The Entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation is God’s plan to bring LIGHT INTO THE WORLD! Notice how Light begins things, and then how Light will RULE THINGS.  It is a common thread running from Genesis, to John, to Revelation.  This is the Beauty of the Mystery called the Bible.

Leader, we know this by reading the very end of the book in the book of Revelation.  The Last Chapter of the Last book in the Bible says, “Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.” (Revelation 22:1-5) Maranatha!! The Triune God has 3 distinct manifestations: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. Whenever Yahweh is manifested in physical form, that is a Christophany.  The physical form of Yahweh is Jesus of Nazareth. Again, in Genesis, the beginning book, God spoke creation into existence. Here we clearly have to acknowledge the presence of Jesus Christ, in the Beginning of Creation. God created SOMETHING out of nothing, through HIS WORD. Jesus is the WORD of God. Even Islam calls Jesus the ‘breath of Allah’, that is properly translated, THE WORD FROM GOD! The God of the New Testament is the God of the Old Testament.  When we understand the WHOLE STORY, then we have a deeper INTIMACY with Father God. Understanding the soil can increase the produce. “Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory. For I want you to know how great a struggle I have for you and for those at Laodicea and for all who have not seen me face to face, that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. (1 Timothy 3:16, Colossians 2:1-3)

Conduit, God laid out this beautiful tapestry, what we call The Mystery. Mystery is defined as; divine truths that were once hidden but have been revealed through Christ and the apostles. In the unfolding of the mystery there comes divine revelations and deeper spiritual truths. It also presents God’s secret thoughts, plans, and dispensations, hidden from human reason and comprehension. Because the entire Bible is weaved together into ONE FABRIC, It is not enough to be able to recite scriptures, it is the power to understand the entire message sent from God the Father, as His entire Word comes to Life. As one studies the entire book of the Bible, the synchronistic flow of all the books is an incredible mystery that unfolds in the heart and mind. Notice in today’s verses that God is separating at the beginning, and He is separating at the end.  Jesus Himself said, “Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division.” Matthew told us that Jesus told them, “Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.” In Jesus’ First Coming there was a crucifixion, in His Second Coming there is a coronation. In His First Coming He hung from the cross as a judged criminal, in His Second Coming He is enthroned for judgment. In His First Coming He is the Justifier. In His Second Coming He is JUDGE! In His First Coming He was our Redeemer, in His Second Coming He is our Ruler! In the beginning, When God went from nothing to something He separated and brought Light.  In the Revelation, the Apocalypse When God goes from something, to ETERNITY, He will again SEPARATE and bring the LIGHT! If you want to FALL IN LOVE with GOD, then fall in love with HIS WORD!  It is time to get off the bottle and get on an adult diet of Manna, food from heaven. Hear the Word of the Lord, “The voice said to me, “Son of man, eat what I am giving you—eat this scroll! Then go and give its message to the people of Israel.” So I opened my mouth, and he fed me the scroll. “Fill your stomach with this,” he said. And when I ate it, it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth. Your words were found, and I ate them. Your words became my joy and my heart’s delight. For I bear Your name, O LORD God of Hosts. (Ezekiel 3:1-3, Jeremiah 15:16) Bon Appetit!
