You may say in your heart, “These nations are greater than we are; how can we drive them out?” But do not be afraid of them. Be sure to remember what the LORD your God did to Pharaoh and all Egypt: the great trials that you saw, the signs and wonders, and the mighty hand and outstretched arm by which the LORD your God brought you out. The LORD your God will do the same to all the peoples you now fear. – Deuteronomy 7:17-19 BSB

Warrior;

Be sure to Remember. One of the greatest definers of men is what we REMEMBER.  To Remember something, is to ‘put back together’. A ‘member’ is a part, or organ, of a human or animal body. To dismember, is to cut off the limbs of (a person or animal).  To RE-MEMBER is to put it ‘back together’.  Every time we put the arms and legs on Mr. Potato Head, we were re-membering him. Notice what these words are saying; recollect, remind, remember.  To remember is to recollect, or to call upon your memory. What we hold onto affects us. One of the greatest repeated commands in the Bible is to REMEMBER.  The most quoted book of the Torah, by Jesus Himself is the book of Deuteronomy.  Jesus’ response to the 3 temptations of Satan, where are Deuteronomy retorts. Just as God is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent- He is also ‘omni purposive’.  He has infinite reasons for everything He does.  When studying deeply in the Bible a student will realize every name of every person, thing, of every ‘remembering’, has a name that means exactly what Yahweh is using it for. The title Deuteronomy is derived from Greek. It means a “copy,” or a “repetition,” of the law rather than “second law,” as the word’s etymology leads us to understand.

Leader, what we remember matters.  We have an enemy, and he is called the Accuser of the Brethren; Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom (dominion, reign) of our God, and the authority of His Christ have come; for the accuser of our [believing] brothers and sisters has been thrown down [at last], he who accuses them and keeps bringing charges [of sinful behavior] against them before our God day and night. (Revelation 12:10) Our enemy wants us to remember how sinful we are.  He wants to remind us of all of our shortcomings, selfishness, self-centeredness, and self-promotion. He wants to make us believe God could not possibly love such a WRETCH LIKE ME! However, our Lord, our Savior, our ABBA, Daddy wants us to remember WHO HE IS, and what HE HAS PROMISED.  Hear the Word of the Lord; “And you shall remember the whole way that the LORD your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, testing you to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not. And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD. Your clothing did not wear out on you and your foot did not swell these forty years. Know then in your heart that, as a man disciplines his son, the LORD your God disciplines you”. (Deuteronomy 8:2-5) Our heavenly Father wants us to remember How much He loves us.  For God so loved the World that He gave His only begotten Son.  That whoever shall believe in Him and call on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. He wants us to remember what He has done for us in the past.  He wants us to remember that He will never leave us, He will never forsake us. The second most given command in the Bible is to DO NOT FEAR! Abba gives us this commandment about 365 times- once a day for the entire year! Consider Jehovah Geppetto’s reasoning…The two most given commandments in the Bible; REMEMBER, DO NOT FEAR!

Conduit, what is even more incredible is that God, our judge. says that for those that CHOOSE to remember Who God is, and what GOD has done for us and Honor and Revere Him, then He will choose to REMEMBER NO MORE our sins, our iniquities, our transgressions, our LACK OF LOVE. Many people are mistaken when they say that God forgets our sins.  That is not completely accurate.  To forget has somewhat of a passive connotation to it. To forget can be defined as’ fail to remember, fail to recall, fail to think of, let slip, to inadvertently neglect to do, bring, or mention something. However to CHOOSE to no longer PUT BACK TOGETHER is active! It is written; For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.” “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds,” then he adds, “I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.” (Hebrews 8:12, Jeremiah 31:34, Hebrews 10:16-17) Through the prophet Isaiah God made another I AM statement, that is NOT found in the book of John, like the other eight I AM statements: “I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins”. (Isaiah 43:25) When we REMEMBER WHO’S our DADDY, then we can truly live our life, LIKE IT MATTERS! Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” – For the LORD your God is a merciful God; He will not abandon you or destroy you or forget the covenant with your fathers, which He swore to them by oath. (Deuteronomy 31:6, 4:31) Today, REMEMBER, DO NOT FEAR! Live for our Lord.  Be Bold, soldier on!
