But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— Ephesians 2:4-5 ESV

Warrior.
This is great news…BUT GOD! Words are programming and God knows how HE MADE US! For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust. “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” (Psalm 103:14, Jeremiah 1:5) We serve an omniscient God- an ALL-KNOWING GOD. “Do you know how the clouds hang poised, those wonders of him who has perfect knowledge?” (Job 37:16). Our God is also IMMUTABLE- he does NOT CHANGE. Malachi 3:6 tells us: “I am the LORD, and I do not change. That is why you descendants of Jacob are not already destroyed. When we add IMMUTABLE with OMNISCIENT, we see that we serve a COSMIC KNOW-IT-ALL. God is on the THRONE and GOD IS AWARE of all things, all situations and ALL NEEDS! God is NOT surprised or DISAPPOINTED in you- HE ALREADY KNEW IT ALL!

Leader, not only does God know our Frame AND He knows us- He also knows our language and the way it affects us. Conjunctions are an important part of language. Conjunctions are connective or linking words; They join thoughts, actions and ideas, as well as clauses and phrases. The main job of a conjunction is to link together different parts of a sentence to help you connect or emphasize ideas or actions. Conjunctions help you form more complex and interesting sentences and make your writing flow more smoothly. Remember Faith comes by HEARING and HEARING by the WORD OF GOD! (Romans 10:17) We also know it is IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD WITHOUT FAITH! So it is important that we READ the WORD of CHRIST (the Bible) AND that we understand it for that is how we HAVE FAITH!

Conduit, the list of conjunctions would include For, nor, or, yet, so, AND, BUT. Let’s focus on AND and BUT- both are conjunctions, YET they affect us differently and affect HOW WE REMEMBER something. ‘AND’ connects two things and give both equal weight. In Romans 9:10 we are told; If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord AND believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Believe in your heart AND openly declare- you will be saved! However, the word ‘BUT’, unconsciously negates everything before it: In Revelation 2:19-20a we hear the words of Jesus to the church in Thyatira: I know your deeds—your love, your faith, your service, your perseverance—and your latter deeds are greater than your first. BUT I have this against you. Our primary focus is not the positive things Jesus said before the ‘BUT’, we are waiting for the hammer to fall- AFTER THE BIG BUT! In today’s passage above, what comes before THE BIG BUT? And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. (v 1-3) Today let us be thankful for ALL that God has GIVEN US, including our language. As we read HIS WORD, let us take it ALL IN and BEWARE of HIS WORD and what HIS WORDS MEAN. Let us be appreciative and thankful for the BIG BUTS that God has for us in HIS WORD. Remember; I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved. (Matthew 5:18) Today BEWARE of GODS BIG BUT’s!
